How to make the most of this worksheet

Start with your bank statements

Pull up your last three months of credit card and bank transactions. Search for recurring charges. You will probably find one or two you forgot about. That is normal. Add them to the list even if the amounts are small.

Be honest about usage

For each subscription, ask yourself: Did I use this in the last 30 days? If the answer is no, consider pausing it. If you have not used it in three months, canceling might be the right call. You can always resubscribe later.

Watch for yearly charges

Yearly subscriptions can hide in your statements because they hit only once. Amazon Prime, annual app plans, and insurance premiums are common examples. Make sure you switch the cycle dropdown to Yearly when adding those so the projection stays accurate.

Share with your household

Use the Copy Link button to send your list to a partner or roommate. You might find you are both paying for the same streaming service. Combining accounts can save real money without losing access.

Revisit every few months

Free trials turn into paid plans. Prices change. New services launch. Bookmark your shared link and run through the list again in three or four months. A quick audit twice a year keeps your budget in shape.

Common mistakes

People often guess amounts instead of checking. A $4.99 plan might actually be $5.37 after tax. Look at the real charge. Also, do not forget family plans: one person pays but multiple people use the service. Count it once.

Assumptions and limits

This worksheet does not connect to any financial accounts. You enter all amounts by hand. The yearly projection multiplies monthly costs by 12 and adds yearly costs as entered. It does not include taxes, fees, or promotional pricing that may expire. The shareable link stores your list in the browser address bar, which works for most households but may fail for very long lists (over about 2000 characters). Treat this as a planning aid, not a replacement for reviewing your actual statements.
